Important events! Set up a warehouse in the United States

"Spend little money and do big things!", the six-word formula for business management, is a very insightful summary.

On May 22, 2025, I listened to Wang Naidun's speech "Captain Jack's Navigation-Global Layout from Trade Sedimentation to Ecological Prediction" in Beijing. When I mentioned the overseas warehouse, I had an idea about this overseas warehouse on the spot. After that, I went to Alibaba's Shanghai headquarters to discuss matters related to overseas warehouses.

Things are complicated and simple. It can be summarized as: there is a place to store goods overseas. Alibaba is of course very considerate to provide warehouse storage services for a fee. But it is not mandatory to use Alibaba's warehouse.

So, our company contacted American customers who have traded with our company many times, and wanted to see if the customer was interested in providing warehousing services for our company. Because based on the fact that they have repeatedly asked our company to order ceramic mugs and sent them to the United States, Portugal and other parts of the world, our company judged that the customer should also be engaged in trade services in the United States, or even cross-border e-commerce.

After contacting the customer, his interest was very high. We discussed that for our first cooperation, we should try to sell some products that are (1) easy to store; (2) small in size; and (3) essential for daily life in the US market. The customer also proactively told me that he was doing e-commerce on eBay and could help me sell products. He even started to help us select products!

On June 16, 2025, our company sent out the first batch of supplies (originally we ordered the American flag, but later the freight forwarder told us that the American flag was a sensitive product). At the same time, the application for Alibaba's overseas warehouse was successful. Next, we will further apply for more e-commerce platforms based in the United States.
